Welcome to Special Team Auto! We are brokers that help you buy your next vehicle. Whether you are buying a vehicle for personal use, business, or simply buying a car to sell for a higher profit, we assist you with your buying journey from A to Z.

Membership Options

Free Membership For new customers purchasing their first vehicle under $2,000.
$100 One-Time One-time bid, non-refundable (Win/Lose).
$200 One-Year Unlimited bidding for one year or as long as the account is open.

Security Deposits & Bidding Limits

  • Standard Deposit: We require a minimum refundable security deposit of $400.00. This grants access to a $4,000.00 bid limit.
  • High Bids: Bids over the $4,000.00 limit require a 10% refundable security deposit of your requested bid limit.
  • Buy It Now: There is a $600 minimum deposit for any 'Buy It Now' vehicle purchase.

* Your security deposit cannot be used towards the purchase of your vehicle. It will be held until the purchase is paid in full (including late/storage fees) and picked up with paperwork signed.

Fee Schedule

Once a vehicle is purchased, the following fees apply:

Additional Fees:

  • Mailing Fee: $45.00 (All vehicles)
  • Wire Fee: $45.00 (If funds sent by wire)

Purchasing Process: 5 Easy Steps

Step 1: Membership & Deposit

Pick your membership and security deposit amount. This determines your maximum bid. Visit www.specialteamauto.com, click the "Make a Payment" tab to submit membership and deposit.

Step 2: Bid or Buy

Bid on the vehicle or purchase it immediately for the "Buy It Now" price.

Step 3: Payment

Pay for vehicles with certified funds within 48 hours to avoid late fees. Certified funds include: Cash, Zelle, Bank Wire Transfer, or Cashier's Check.

Step 4: Shipping

Once paid, we authorize the shipping company. They will transport your vehicle to you.

Step 5: Paperwork

We finalize all titles/paperwork for your local DMV. Titles are mailed to us from the auction (5-10 days arrival). Copart has up to 30 days to supply the title.

Copart & Auction Fees

Copart's fees include Auction Fees, Gate Fees, and a Broker Fee. These are beyond our control and may change without notice.

  • Auction Fees: Based on Copart's "Standard" listing.
  • Gate Fee: Available on Copart's website.
  • Broker Fee: $50.00
  • Environmental Fee: $10.00
  • Late Fee: $50.00 (per day)
  • Storage Fee: $50.00 (per day, based on location/duration)
  • Relist Fee: $600 or 10% of purchase price (whichever is higher)

Important Legal Disclaimers

Title Condition: Due to variations in applicable laws, a vehicle listed as "clean" or "clear" may have a salvage, junk, or other history. Regardless of the listing description, the title may become branded (salvage/reconstructed) upon registration in your state. You accept all risks associated with title variations.
Processing Times: You may receive a title different from the one listed. Processing times may take 5-7 weeks. Vehicles titled as "Certificates of Destruction," "Junk," or "Non-Repairable" cannot be retitled and are for parts/scrap only. Exporting such vehicles requires contacting our Buyer Services Center prior to sale and incurs additional fees (2-6 weeks processing).
Registration: Vehicles are not guaranteed to be legally registered in any specific jurisdiction. It is your sole responsibility to verify registration eligibility in your state prior to bidding.
Business Identity: Special Team Auto is a membership-based marketplace providing access to inventory operated by Copart. We do not operate the auctions or own the vehicles. We are an independent third-party broker.
Account Policies: Any deposit kept over one year will incur an automatic $200.00 membership fee to keep the account active. Vehicles not picked up within 10 days may be resold on your behalf; auction and Special Team Auto fees will be deducted.
