You can be buying a vehicle for personal use, business, or simply buying a car to sell it for a higher profit. We assist you with your buying journey from A to Z.
We offer 3 membership options:
*Free membership for new customers purchasing the first vehicle under $2000.
*$100 one-time bid, nonrefundabl,e win/lose
*$200.00 one-year membership, unlimited bidding for one year or as long as the account is open for.
We require a minimum refundable security deposit of $400.00 that will get you access to a $4000.00 bid limit, anything over $4000.00 bid limit will require a 10% refundable security deposit of your requested bid limit. There is a $600 minimum deposit for any ‘Buy It Now” Vehicle purchase. Your security deposit cannot be used towards the purchase of your vehicle. Once a vehicle is purchased the following fees will apply:
All vehicles will have a $45.00 mailing fee and $45.00 wire fee if funds are sent by a wire.
Vehicle purchase less than $800.00 will have a $150 transaction fee and a $100 documentation fee.
Vehicle purchases greater than $800.00 but less than $5400.00 will have a transaction fee of $250.00 and a documentation fee of $250.00
Vehicle purchases $5500.00 up to 9,999.99 will have a $250.00 transaction fee and a $280.00 documentation fee.
Vehicle purchases $10,000 and up will have a 3% transaction fee and a $280.00 Documentation fee.
Vehicle purchases $20,000 and up will have a 4% transaction fee and a $280.00 documentation fee.
Additional Copart fees do apply and will be added to the car purchase price.
Step 1: pick your membership and your security deposit amount since this will be your maximum bid amount put as much as you want to bid with the minimum being $400. www.specialteamauto.com click the make a payment tab and include your membership amount and deposit amount.
Step 2: Bid on the vehicle or you can purchase it for the Buy It Now Price.
Step 3: Pay for vehicles with certified funds within 48 hours to avoid any late payment fees. Certified funds are either cash, Zelle, Bank Wire transfer, or cashier check.
Step 4: As soon as vehicle is paid for we will give the shipping company the ok that the vehicle is ready to be shipped and they will transport your vehicle to you
Step 5: We will finalize all titles and paperwork that you will need to take to your local DMV The title is mailed to us from the auction and can take 5-10 days to arrive.
Copart does have up to 30 days to supply us with the title.
Your deposit will be held until the purchase is paid in full, including any late fees or storage fees
Once the vehicle has been picked up and all necessary title and paperwork has been signed by the purchaser. You can then submit a request to cancel your account and request a refund on your deposit.
Copart Fees:
Copart’s Fees do include Auction Fees, Gate Fee and a Broker Fee. The Copart Fees may be combined in the Fees Calculator on the lot listing page and on your invoice. The type and amount of any Copart Fees are beyond our control and may change without prior notice to us or you
* Auction Fees = Available on Copart’s website listed under Standard
Gate Fee = Available on Copart’s website (using your login credentials)
* Broker Fee $50.00
*Environmental Fee – $10.00
*Late Fee – $50.00 (per day)
*Storage Fee – $50 (per day) based on facility location and duration of storage
*Relist Fee – $600 or 10% of the purchase price of the vehicle whichever is higher.

Due to variations in applicable laws and regulations, a vehicle listed with a “clean” or “clear” or other similar title or ownership document type may have a salvage, junk, or other history. Regardless of whether the title or ownership document type is listed as “clean” or “clear” or
does not otherwise indicate a salvage history on the auction listing, the title or ownership document may become a salvage, reconstructed, or an otherwise branded title or ownership document upon registration in your state or any other jurisdiction. Especially vehicles that state
clean title with salvage history.
Additionally, due to variations in applicable laws and regulations, you may receive a title or ownership document which is different from the title or ownership document that is listed on the lot listing page. Processing times for titles or ownership documents may take 5-7 weeks and result in additional fees.
Buyers of vehicles titled as “Certificates of Destruction,” “Non-Repairable Vehicle
Certificates,” “Junk Certificates,” or a title with other brands that indicate the vehicle cannot be retitled, or that the vehicle has no resale value except as a source of parts or scrap, will only receive Purchase Agreement Documents for the parts or scrap purchase and not a physical title. Buyers wishing to export such a vehicle must contact our Buyer Services Center with their intention to export prior to sale. In order to export a vehicle with such a title, there is an
additional processing fee, and the processing time is generally two to six weeks.
Registration laws vary by state and are subject to change. Vehicles purchased via our Services are not represented, warrantied, or guaranteed to be able to be legally registered in any state or other jurisdiction. Nor is there a representation, warranty, or guarantee that you will receive the
specific title or ownership document that is listed on the lot listing page. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether you will be able to register the vehicle or receive a “clean” or “clear” title in your state or any other jurisdiction prior to placing any bid or purchasing any vehicle using our Services, and you accept all risks associated with variations in vehicle title and registration laws and regulations between states and other jurisdictions that may prevent you from titling or registering your vehicle or may negatively impact the marketability of your vehicle purchased using our Services.
Special Team Auto is a membership-based online auto auction marketplace that provides you with access to the largest auto auction inventory in North America, operated by Copart. We do not operate the auctions or own the vehicles listed for sale. We simply provide an online platform that allows you to purchase vehicles that are sold by independent third-party sellers through Copart auto auctions.
Any deposit kept over one year will be an automatic $200.00 membership fee charge to keep the account active. Any vehicle not picked up within 10 days can be rerun through the auction and sold on your behalf, the auction and Special Team Auto’s fees will be subtracted.
